Soil Testing
CEC provides soil services in accordance with guidelines set by ASTM as well as other relevant national standards in accordance with each test.
CEC also performs complete geotechnical subsurface investigations providing data for site development
and foundation design. Some of the tests we perform include soil sampling, soil laboratory testing, soil field testing, and geotechnical engineering.
Soil Sampling
Test borings, rock core drilling, split spoon sampling, monitoring wells, dynamic cone penetrometer tests.
Soil Laboratory Testing
CEC provides the following soil tests: soil identification, the compressive strength of rock, particle size analysis, Atterberg limits, density-moisture relationship, California bearing ratio, testing of expansive soils.
Soil Field Testing
In-place density methods (Troxler, Sand Cone, Balloon), moisture content nuclear
method (Troxler), inspection of backfill and subgrade evaluation, pile and caisson inspection, embankment keyway inspection.
